Each year, we gather to celebrate October Devotions to Our Lady of Walsingham. It takes place in a different part of the diocese each year.
Many people who attend the celebrations see it is a reunion for those who made pilgrimage together in July - but it's so much more and all are welcome - whether or not you have ever been a Walsingham Pilgrim!
At 12 noon we celebrate a joyful Mass of Our Lady, followed by lunch. Tea and Coffee is available but we ask you to bring your own packed lunch!
In the afternoon, we gather at 2.30 pm for Procession of the image of Our Lady of Walsingham, followed by Sprinkling with water from the holy well and the ministry of healing.
The day's event is a great way to get a flavour of Walsingham and an ideal opportunity for those who have never made pilgrimage to the Shrine to find out more!
This year it takes place at St Mary's Church, Holton Road, Barry on Saturday October 18th! Our guest preacher is Fr Paul Robinson from the Diocese of Liverpool. He is a fellow Walsingham Pilgrim and has great involvement in the Youth Pilgrimage each year and is a good friend of many of us in the diocese.
